"Best book ever about the toils and sins of the local badge...I still pick through it for stimulus thoughts. Good work, detective!"

"The Black Band, in my estimation, is very well written and surely has lots of suspense. I believe that the word count of this book would show that you have twice as much reading material in it as most novels."

"Authentic. This stuff you can't make up and gives a great wholeness to the lives of law enforcement, not just stories on the beat. This was better than Law and Order on TV...I certainly have a better understanding of cops, law enforcement, courage, and friendship. This brings a great Christian testimony and perspective without being preachy."

"This is one of those novels that will keep you up past your bed time. The Black Band weaves many story lines bringing to the reader real life experiences from events on the beat, events in the private lives at home, and the in the public eye. The tragedy of an end of watch on the job to the triumphs of public service done right. The author in addition to providing a compelling read has been there and done that. For one looking for insight into law enforcement from one who has walked the walk, The Black Band should be on the short list."

REVIEWS

"I absolutely loved this book. It told the heartbreaking story of what our police have to deal with on a daily basis. I have a deeper understanding of the stress being a policeman or being married to one can cause. I also loved how the author brought religion into his writing at the most appropriate times. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is considering this line of work or for those currently working in the field. This book is a real eye opener for people to understand just how dangerous this job really is. There is a lot of controversy currently regarding the police and prejudice but unless you or someone you love is a police officer it is too easy to pass judgement. This book takes us into the lives of police work and left me feeling sympathy for all they give up to protect and serve."
